The UNSW Piaggio Project
2017
As a part of collaborative project with Alice Zhou, Cheuk Yan Chow (Stephanie) and Andie Mee, I designed a silhouette/accessories and their respective pages for a publication to conceptualise a new Vespa product.
The group decided on a bright colour palette to target young, female traveller. We also chose 3 silhouette protocols: 1) the vehicle must be foldable, 2) the vehicle must carry a compartment appropriate for overseas trips and 3) the vehicle must keep the Vespa design essence intact. Through my research into the history and philosophy of the brand, mechanics and engineering of the vehicle, as well as the increasing demand for an agile transportation in the city, I arrived on the design: a foldable, slim body with a digital dashboard.
