Typographic Space: Fray

Fray is an experimental sans-serif typeface developed from strips of fabrics.

The capricious silhouette of the frayed fabric represents my experience of reading everyday media in English, a language foreign to me. Being based on Tw Cen MT, with small x-height and irregular contours, the typeface is suitable for displays.
